How the walk goes

Ninety minutes, four stops, one morning in 1621.

  1. The crosses

We meet by the Old Town Hall, at the crosses in the paving where the scaffold stood.

  2. Read the square

With the 1621 print in hand, we find what is still there: the town hall, its clock, the houses.

  3. The Týn Church

Where the heads from the bridge tower were buried in 1631.

  4. The bridge tower

We end at the Old Town Bridge Tower, where twelve heads hung for ten years.

Questions

Is the walk suitable for children?

From about ten. We speak plainly about what happened, without dwelling on it.

Can I use the prints in class?

Yes. Every print on this site is in the public domain; the lesson pack has them in high resolution.

What if it rains?

We walk anyway, and spend longer in the Týn Church. In a storm we move your booking for free.
